Cabin holiday on a campsite

Cabin holiday at Kaløvig Strandgård Camping is for you who love what the campsite has to offer, but prefer to live comfortably.  There are many things that can be fantastic about a cabin holiday on a campsite.

A cabin holiday at a campsite can be wonderfully relaxing. You can enjoy a much-needed break from everyday stress and hustle and relax in quiet surroundings. In high season, you don’t have to worry about cooking either, as our cafe is open and has a fine selection for young and old. In the low season, the kitchen’s opening hours are more variable. You can always ask if there is an option for food. Almost every day of the year you can buy freshly baked breakfast bread. You also don’t have to think about cleaning when you leave again. You just have to hand over the cleaned cabin and we will do the rest – it’s the perfect end to a good holiday.

Our luxury cabins are almost identically furnished. The view cabins 7-12 have a sliding door between the bedroom and living room, and a magnificent view of the sea. The cabins A-F are located by the playground, which makes it easy for the children to run on the playground, and when the adults need a break from jumping and pushing the swing, you can sit on the bench next to the playground, or on the terrace by the cabin.

All these cabins are also winter-insulated.

There is a bath, toilet and kitchen as well as a covered terrace with garden furniture.

Just like in the view cabins, there is also a kitchen with fridge and freezer, 2 hotplates, but no oven (found in the campsite’s kitchen). Dishes, pots, coffee machine or electric kettle, cleaning agents, floor/dish cloth and tea towel.

In addition, there are duvets and pillows, bring your own bed linen or rent it from us. The cabin has 5 sleeping places with good mattresses, of which 2 are upper bunks, one is fixed in the living area and one is movable.

The cabins are located right next to the playground, and close to Strandgården.

Double room

The double room contains a toilet but no bath. There is a fridge, coffee machine, sink, crockery for 2 people, cleaning agents, floor/dish cloth and tea towel.

In addition, there are duvets and pillows, bring your own bed linen or rent it from us. You can use the campsite’s kitchen and bathroom facilities.

Lots of experiences

During the season, the campsite organizes various activities for most ages. Blue. wine tasting, food and music, pool party, children’s disco, krea, krolf, grilled marshmallows and other things that you can take part in. In our lovely fireplace room we also have a small selection of games for free use as well as table tennis. The room can also be booked for private events. If you want, there is also plenty of opportunity to socialize with the other guests. It may be in connection with the above-mentioned activities. The campsite’s common areas, such as playgrounds or barbecue areas, are also obvious places to strike up a conversation with others.

At Kaløvig Strandgård Camping, we can boast of being the only campsite in Denmark that has a pool with underfloor heating. This heats the pool up to min. 25 degrees and you can therefore enjoy a nice warm swim. Afterwards you can rest on one of the sunbeds, possibly with a cold draft beer, iced coffee or another cool drink in hand. Above the road and the small field is the beach. Here you will find our jetty and can take a dip and/or enjoy the beautiful nature that Djursland has to offer. Docking by boat is also permitted here.

A holiday here at our campsite is also ideal for those of you who like a bit of everything when you are on holiday. Here at the campsite, you can completely relax and just unplug. But our location here on Djursland also means that we are very centrally located in relation to attractions and activities. If you long for the hustle and bustle of the big city, it is only 30 min. driving by car into the city of Aarhus. You can also walk up to the bus stop and take the bus.  If you are into something more cultural, there is Aarhus Old Town. If you get hungry afterwards, but can’t agree on the menu, Århus Streetfood is a good bet. They have something for everyone. Otherwise, you can wait and come back to the campsite’s delicious cafe. There is also only 20 min. to Djursommerland, 30 min. to Ree Park Safari and Randers rainforest
